Take on a rewarding role supporting students in a dynamic elementary school environment as a dedicated Paraprofessional! This full-time contract position is available for the 2026-2027 academic year, running from September through June. You’ll play a key part in intensive autism programs, collaborating closely with educators to promote student growth and inclusion.
Multiple openings are available, offering weekly schedules of 32.5–35 hours. These positions specifically serve elementary-aged children within specialized classrooms, making it a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about helping students thrive in a supportive setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, particularly students with autism or special needs
- Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Commitment to fostering a safe and positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students individually and in small groups
- Assist teachers in implementing educational and behavioral plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Support classroom routines and facilitate students’ participation in activities, therapies, and transitions
- Help create an inclusive atmosphere by encouraging social interaction and independence
- Maintain open communication with teachers, specialists, and families to ensure continuity of care
