Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Production Planner job in Rochester, NH. This full-time opportunity is available with one of our key customers in the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for developing production schedules, coordinating material availability, and working closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service to keep production on track. To be successful in this position, you must have strong ERP experience, solid problem-solving skills, and an understanding of supply chain and manufacturing operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and using data to improve production performance.

Production Planner Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules while balancing customer demand, inventory, labor availability, and manufacturing capacity.
  • Release and prioritize manufacturing work orders, monitor production progress, and adjust schedules to address changing priorities and production constraints.
  • Ensure raw materials, components, and outside services are available to support production schedules and work with Purchasing to resolve shortages and expedite critical materials.
  • Maintain accurate ERP planning data, including bills of material, routings, lead times, and inventory information, while generating reports and KPIs related to production and inventory performance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams across machining, assembly, finishing, and shipping operations to support on-time delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ERP system experience and an understanding of manufacturing facility operations and supply chain management.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to use production and inventory data to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and production requirements.
