A remote pharmacist opportunity is available for a dedicated professional with a strong clinical background and licensure in any state. This temp-to-hire role requires expertise in utilization management, specifically related to Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals, and offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule with a fixed evening shift.
Location: Remote (Pharmacist must hold an active license in at least one state)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM EST
- Mandatory weekend and holiday rotation during contract period
Contract Duration: 6 months (10/01/2026 – 03/31/2027)
Work Commitment: No days off except emergencies from 01/01/2027 to 03/31/2027
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough reviews of Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals.
- Apply clinical policies, utilization management criteria, and Medicare requirements in authorization determinations.
- Provide clinical and operational support to internal teams regarding Part B drug policies and workflows.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance review quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Adapt to a high-paced, evolving work environment with changing workflows and business needs.
- Manage changing priorities and volumes while maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
Desired Qualifications
- PharmD degree with active pharmacist licensure in at least one state.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in utilization management, managed care residency, or relevant specialty pharmacy.
- Demonstrated strong clinical judgment and the ability to independently assess complex Part B drug requests.
- Experience specifically with Part B drug prior authorization and appeals is strongly preferred.
- Prior utilization management and prior authorization experience is highly valued.
