The Family Garden is looking for an individual to work alongside another Co-Teacher in our 2-5 year old classroom. We are looking for someone comfortable working with all age groups, works well in a team setting, and has a passion for teaching and caring for young minds.
Some tasks that this job entails are:
- Supervising and interacting with children in all activities
- Maintaining varying schedules for all children in the group
- Treating children respectfully, appreciating cultural diversity
- Helping children control behavior using a positive, appropriate approach
- Planning and implementing an emergent curriculum
- Planning, preparing and caring for the environment including daily housekeeping tasks
- Maintaining observational records and other classroom logs
- Maintaining a positive relationship with parents and staff
In order to qualify you must have completed or be in the process of obtaining your Childcare Certification or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. We are willing to help you achieve this qualification!
At least 12 months experience working in a child care setting and a Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certificate are preferred, however we will help you obtain this if you are not yet certified.
