What will I be doing?

  • Setting up and operating CNC lathes, mills, and grinding equipment to produce precision components and cutting tools.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan the work.
  • Monitoring machines, adjusting tooling, offsets, and parameters to hold tolerances and finish requirements.
  • Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting to resolve common issues.
  • Inspecting parts with hand metrology tools to verify dimensions and features.
  • Collaborating with peers to optimize processes and improve productivity.
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean workspace.

What do I need to qualify?

  • High school diploma or equivalent; machining coursework or certifications are beneficial.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a CNC machinist or equivalent position.
  • Ability to read/interpret detailed prints and technical documentation.
  • Strong grounding in CNC programming concepts and machine operation.
  • Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and related precision measurement tools.
  • Keen attention to detail and a practical problem‑solving mindset.
  • Comfort working independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
