What will I be doing?
- Setting up and operating CNC lathes, mills, and grinding equipment to produce precision components and cutting tools.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan the work.
- Monitoring machines, adjusting tooling, offsets, and parameters to hold tolerances and finish requirements.
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting to resolve common issues.
- Inspecting parts with hand metrology tools to verify dimensions and features.
- Collaborating with peers to optimize processes and improve productivity.
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean workspace.
What do I need to qualify?
- High school diploma or equivalent; machining coursework or certifications are beneficial.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a CNC machinist or equivalent position.
- Ability to read/interpret detailed prints and technical documentation.
- Strong grounding in CNC programming concepts and machine operation.
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and related precision measurement tools.
- Keen attention to detail and a practical problem‑solving mindset.
- Comfort working independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
