Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid state teaching credentials in Special Education
- Background working with students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities
- Experience with applied behavior analysis and specially designed instruction highly preferred
- Comfort and proficiency supporting students with complex needs, including those who require toileting assistance
- Skilled in collaborating with classroom aides, RBTs, and related service providers
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction based on IEP goals
- Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning and developmental needs
- Foster a positive, engaging, and safe classroom community
- Implement behavioral strategies and work closely with behavioral staff
- Manage daily tasks including toileting and personal care for students as necessary
- Collaborate with caregivers, related service providers, and paraprofessionals
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and comply with all reporting requirements
