You’ll work primarily with grades 9-12, providing essential services and advocacy for students with diverse learning needs.
Ideal schedules are available based on your availability, with top preference for Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). Flexible options are also open: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 12:30 pm, or Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with high school students (grades 9-12) in a school setting
- Familiarity with special education case management and compliance
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Sensitivity to student diversity and varying learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a case manager for assigned students, coordinating IEP meetings and maintaining compliance documentation
- Deliver direct instruction and educational services tailored to individual learning plans
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student development
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to essential paperwork as required
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and achievement
