Job Title: Lab Support Specialist
Location: Wilmington, MA (01887)
Work Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28/hr. on W2
Job Description:
We are seeking a Lab Support Specialist to support daily laboratory operations, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and administrative activities.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate monthly laboratory meetings and communicate updates.
- Manage laboratory waste streams and schedule waste pickups.
- Maintain chemical inventories and manage incoming chemicals.
- Order and receive laboratory supplies and consumables.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability.
- Coordinate vendor visits and manage equipment service contracts.
- Work with Procurement on contract renewals, equipment purchases, and capital expenditure (CapEx) orders.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate laboratory shipping and receiving activities.
- Manage laboratory coat services.
- Learn next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation workflows to support manual testing.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
- Laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, inventory management, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
