About the Role

A manufacturing company supporting military and government contracts is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the full contract lifecycle — from proposal support through execution, compliance, and closeout. This role is critical to ensuring the company meets all federal acquisition requirements while supporting program and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Manage full contract lifecycle: drafting, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeout
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable federal acquisition regulations
- Review and interpret government solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) and prepare compliant responses
- Serve as primary point of contact with government contracting officers and prime/subcontractors
- Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and milestones; flag risks proactively
- Partner with Legal, Finance, Program Management, and Operations on contract terms and pricing
- Manage subcontracts and flow-down requirements to suppliers
- Maintain accurate contract files and documentation for audits (DCAA, DCMA, etc.)
- Support change orders, modifications, claims, and dispute resolution
- Track key contract metrics and report status to leadership

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, or related field
- 5+ years of contracts management experience in a government/defense manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government contracting regulations
- Experience with ITAR/EAR compliance a plus
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with ERP/contract management systems
- NCMA certification (CFCM, CPCM) a plus
- Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance may be required
