Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support all phases of assembly and manufacturing operations. In this role, you will perform inspections on subcontracted and purchased parts, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, workmanship criteria, and documentation requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining quality, safety, and operational excellence on the production floor.
Interim or Active security clearance required
Availability for both 1/2nd shift Monday to Thursday!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections across all phases of assembly and manufacturing, including subcontracted and purchased parts.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to verify conformance.
- Use basic measuring equipment and instruments to perform continuity checks on assemblies and components.
- Apply workmanship acceptance criteria to ensure compliance with production standards.
- Identify, document, and report discrepancies clearly and legibly in accordance with established procedures.
- Follow proper protocols to prevent damage to equipment, materials, and ensure personal and team safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work/inspection area.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to follow work instructions and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Computer literacy for documentation and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies.
- High school diploma or equivalent (no degree required).
- Active Secret clearance preferred; candidates with previously held clearance will be considered. Supplier must initiate interim clearance process at offer stage.
