Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a high acuity floor requiring 2+ years of ms/tele experience and an active NH or compact RN license.

Details\n

    \n
  • High acuity Med Surge / Respiratory Care Unit within a hospital setting
  • \n

  • 20-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:5, sometimes 1:6
  • \n

  • Common patient diagnoses include PNA, COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end of life care, and wounds
  • \n

  • 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, 3 shifts per week
  • \n

  • 36 guaranteed hours weekly
  • \n

  • No on-call requirements
  • \n

  • May be required to float to Concord Hospital-Laconia or Concord Hospital-Franklin
  • \n

  • Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • \n

  • 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience required
  • \n

  • Current BLS required
  • \n

  • NIHSS certification required prior to start
  • \n

  • ACLS certification required
  • \n

  • Must complete a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a preferred score of 80%
  • \n

  • Skills checklist matching specialty required
  • \n

  • Driver's license with address matching demographics required
  • \n

  • NURSYS report and verification of all active RN licenses required
  • \n

  • RTO must be included at time of consideration
  • \n

Additional Information\n

    \n
  • Provide direct patient care to high acuity medical-surgical and telemetry patients
  • \n

  • Weekly orientation provided
  • \n

  • Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
  • \n

  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • \n

  • Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
  • \n
