Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Family Medicine

Location: Newport, NH 03773
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: $21.19 – $32.85 per Hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Family Medicine team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers with patient care, clinical procedures, and daily office operations in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients and prepare them for examinations.
• Take and record patient vital signs.
• Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Administer injections and perform basic diagnostic tests.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens.
• Perform blood draws and maintain clinical equipment.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare medical instruments.
• Maintain examination rooms and ensure proper infection control.
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Must hold one of the following certifications:
• • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – AAMA
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – AMT
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) with a 12-month D-H apprenticeship program.
• Previous experience in an office or outpatient/ambulatory care setting is strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification is required.

Schedule Details

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Possible extended schedule until 7:00 PM on Mondays and/or Wednesdays.
