Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
- Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, adapt, and implement IEPs tailored to individual student requirements
- Provide direct instruction to students in both small groups and one-on-one settings
- Assess student progress regularly, modifying teaching plans to ensure success
- Collaborate closely with general education staff and other specialists to deliver inclusive education
- Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law and district policies
- Communicate frequently with families to share progress and strategies
- Participate in professional development to stay current on evidence-based practices
