$35-$42/Hour + Overtime | Boston Area | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

A leading real estate investment and property management firm is seeking a Field Maintenance Mechanic to support a residential portfolio of 5 properties / approximately 200 units throughout the Boston area.
\n
This is a hands-on, field-based maintenance role focused on resident work orders, apartment turnovers, general repairs, preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and day-to-day property upkeep. The ideal candidate will have strong residential apartment maintenance experience and be comfortable working independently with minimal training.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to resident maintenance requests, service tickets, and day-to-day work orders
- \n
Complete apartment turnovers, general property upkeep, and preventative maintenance
- \n
Perform general plumbing, basic HVAC maintenance, painting, drywall, carpentry, and light electrical repairs
- \n
Troubleshoot maintenance issues independently and determine when outside vendors are needed
- \n
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for larger repairs or specialized work
- \n
Maintain accurate work order updates, maintenance logs, and property documentation
- \n
Rotate between five residential properties on a weekly schedule

Qualifications:
\n

Hands-on residential apartment maintenance experience strongly preferred
- \n
General knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and basic electrical work
- \n
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision
- \n
Dependable, professional, service-oriented, and comfortable communicating with residents, vendors, and internal teams
- \n
Reliable transportation and ability to rotate between assigned properties
- \n
Ability to participate in an optional on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
- \n
Must be able to pass a background check
