This full-time contract opportunity runs from August through June, encompassing 35 to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will make a significant difference as you support students’ academic and personal growth in an engaging environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility
- Demonstrated experience with high school caseloads preferred
- Ability to create and implement tailored instructional plans
- Familiarity with IEP development, compliance, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, staff, and administrators
- Adaptability and commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction and support to high school students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, maintain, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Partner closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure consistent student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and behavior
- Participate in IEP meetings, team collaborations, and professional development
- Foster relationships with families to promote student achievement and well-being
