Location: Sturbridge, MA
Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.00 per hour
Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm

Savvy Staffing is seeking an Abrasive Disk Grinder for a metal manufacturing company in Sturbridge, MA. This is a hands-on manufacturing position working with metal parts and using grinding equipment to smooth, finish, and prepare parts for production.

Job Duties:

• Operate abrasive disk grinders and other hand/power tools.
• Grind and smooth welds, edges, burrs, and excess metal.
• Prepare metal parts for painting, welding, assembly, or finishing.
• Inspect parts for quality, appearance, and proper finish.
• Follow work instructions, drawings, and production requirements.
• Change grinding discs and perform basic equipment adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Perform other general manufacturing duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in metal manufacturing, grinding, fabrication, welding, or production preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools is a plus.
• Ability to work with metal parts and perform repetitive hands-on work.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Must be dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and production instructions.
