Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Previous experience with elementary-aged students (K-4) preferred
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and ability to tailor instruction to meet varied learning needs
- Effective classroom management skills and ability to collaborate with general education staff
- Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and professional colleagues
- Ability to maintain detailed records and comply with district and state regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students identified as needing special education supports
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
- Prepare and maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student assessments
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and confidence for all learners
This 12-week contract position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, averaging 32-37.5 hours per week, providing the structure and stability that supports both your professional and personal life.
