Job DescriptionJob Title: Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long-Term Care.
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA / CNA) to join our nursing care team. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), you will deliver direct hands-on nursing and restorative care to long-term care residents, assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and daily living activities while ensuring resident safety and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Hygiene & Skin Care: Assist residents with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and applying non-prescription skin care treatments per individual Resident Care Plans.
- Mobility & Restorative Assistance: Assist residents with ambulation, range-of-motion exercises, turning, positioning, and safe transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment.
- Nutritional & Elimination Support: Help residents with feeding, hydration, toileting, bowel and bladder retraining programs, and accurately record daily intake/output (I&O) and caloric counts.
- Clinical Observation & Reporting: Attend shift hand-off reports and promptly inform supervising LPNs/RNs of significant changes in resident health status, behavior, or physical condition.
- Infection Control & Safety: Adhere to infection control protocols, maintain a safe, clean care environment, and uphold all resident rights, privacy, and confidentiality guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Clinical Experience: Minimum 1+ year of direct nursing assistant experience in long-term care or skilled nursing [Required].
- Licensure: Active State Nursing Assistant License/Certification (LNA or CNA) or active Compact state equivalent [Required].
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Flexibility: Willingness to float between care units as operational needs dictate [Required].
- Preferred Experience: Prior travel assignment experience and background working in rural or smaller healthcare facilities [Highly Preferred].
