Required Skills & Experience
• Proficiency with SharePoint and general Microsoft Office Suite
• Understanding of power, grounding, HVAC, UPS systems, and associated testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret CLRs, floor plans, and one-line power diagrams.
• Knowledge of AC/DC power architecture and operational fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure issues using structured diagnostic methods.
• Familiarity with inventory control processes and asset management.
• Previous experience approving invoices, writing purchase orders and SOWs, and managing vendor contracts
• Understanding of industry-standard network installation practices, including equipment staging, circuit verification, testing, alarm validation, and cable management.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience coordinating contractors and vendors for telecom or network infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of data center, central office, or critical facility operations.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs for generators, transfer switches, HVAC, and other critical infrastructure.
• Exposure to construction projects, cabinet installations, or service cross-connections.
• Experience supporting network turn-up, testing, and commissioning activities.
Job Description
We are hiring a Facilities Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, and expansion of critical network and data center facilities. This role is responsible for facility maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, monthly capacity reporting, and infrastructure documentation across assigned sites.
The engineer will oversee projects involving power, HVAC, UPS, generators, and other critical systems while coordinating contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support facility upgrades, new installations, and capacity expansion efforts.
In this role, the selected candidate would be working closely with Facilities leadership, Network Design Engineering, and project team. This position ensures projects are completed safely, on budget, and in compliance with company standards. The role also oversees contract labor, supports testing and turn-up activities, participates in an on-call rotation, and serves as essential personnel during emergency response situations.
