Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a lively educational environment. This contract position offers immediate start and full-time hours, running from 8:25am to 3:10pm on scheduled school days. You'll play a key role in helping students develop essential communication skills while collaborating with dedicated educational professionals.
Your caseload will span a diverse range of ages and needs, with the director estimating you'll manage between 30-40 students. This is an excellent chance to broaden your experience and make a direct impact across multiple grade levels.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLPA license or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience in a school setting as an SLPA highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Organizational skills and adaptability to shifting student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language intervention services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Support individualized education plan (IEP) goals for assigned students
- Assist with speech and language screenings and progress monitoring
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate regularly with supervising SLP and attend required meetings
