This travel pharmacist opportunity offers a unique blend of hospital outpatient and retail pharmacy experience, supporting a hospital-affiliated pharmacy using McKesson EnterpriseRX. Starting in early October, this assignment runs approximately 13 weeks in Nantucket, MA, providing a chance to work in a dynamic healthcare environment while delivering exceptional patient care.
Schedule:
- Five 8-hour shifts per week
- Day shifts within pharmacy hours of 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in both outpatient and retail settings
- Counsel patients on proper medication use and possible side effects
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize pharmaceutical care
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
- Utilize McKesson EnterpriseRX to manage prescriptions and inventory
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts pharmacist license
- Strong retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Full-time availability to cover the duration of the assignment
- Positive attitude with excellent communication skills
