When you’ll work
- 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Four 10-hour shifts)
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday | 4:00 PM – 3:30 AM (Four 10-hour shifts)
What you’ll earn
- 1st Shift Target Range: $17.00 – $26.25 / hour (Base wage set by experience)
- 2nd Shift Target Range: $18.70 – $28.88 / hour (Base $17.00 – $26.25 + 10% shift premium)

What your day might look like
You begin by reviewing work instructions and safety checks. You load a batch of parts into a CNC machine, start the production cycle, and use simple gauges to verify measurements—logging results as you go. You notice a tool showing wear, flag it to your supervisor, and keep the workflow on target. Before the end of the shift, you help with routine housekeeping to keep the cell clean and organized.
Core responsibilities
- Operate CNC machinery safely; load and unload parts accurately.
- Measure parts using basic tools and maintain precise inspection logs (training provided).
- Meet required production rates and sustain steady workflow.
- Report defective materials, machine variances, or any questionable conditions to a supervisor promptly.
- Follow detailed work instructions and adhere to OSHA and Orion Castings safety requirements.
- Perform additional production and housekeeping duties as needed.
