Key Responsibilities\n

- Conduct thorough assessments and create individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
- Develop pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies, which may include behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and positive behavior plans.
- Document all client interactions and treatment plans in a timely manner to meet regulatory standards.
- Utilize evidence-based screening tools in collaboration with the clinical team to monitor client progress and adapt treatment as necessary.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to implement positive behavior support plans tailored to client needs.
- Serve as a liaison to external agencies, assisting in integrating services and resources that benefit our clients.
- Engage in activities to promote professional growth, such as attending conferences and participating in statewide task forces relevant to mental health practices.
- Participate in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Foster open communication with community partners and agencies to maintain collaborative relationships that benefit service provision.
- Contribute to the mission and values of Long Beach Counseling Services through your daily work and interactions.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Clinic Director, adapting to the evolving needs of our clients and agency.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n
Your primary focus will be on a diverse clientele with varying degrees of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and recovery from trauma. Our client population may also include individuals with developmental disabilities and those impacted by acquired brain injuries. You will be instrumental in providing individualized support that encourages clients to overcome barriers and pursue their goals.

- A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is mandatory for consideration.
- An independent LMHC license is required to engage in counseling practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
