This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 2027 and offers you the chance to guide a small, focused caseload in a life skills/intensive needs program. Working full-time Monday through Friday for 35-37.5 hours per week, you’ll provide targeted instruction and case management to just three students, ensuring each individual’s learning goals and needs are met with thoughtful, personalized care.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working in special education, ideally with intensive needs or life skills programs
- Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
- Compassion, adaptability, and a true commitment to student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as both instructor and case manager for a small group of 5th and 6th graders in a life skills/intensive needs program
- Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with families and school teams
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment tailored to students’ unique needs
- Coordinate with related service providers and general education staff
- Track progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with all stakeholders
