About This Role

Nellie's Treehouse is seeking experienced and enthusiastic child care teachers to join our growing team! Nellie's has two locations, one in Amherst and one in Milford. Both programs are state licensed and serve children from 6 weeks through PreK (Kindergarten in Amherst. Ideal candidates are nurturing, patient, and creative.If you have experience with young chidren and a passion for helping them learn and reach their potential, we'd love to hear from you!!



What You'll Do

Plan and implement activities that are developmentally appropriate based on themes and child interest

Maintain a routine and consistent daily schedule

Provide basic care and caregiving activities to meet the needs of students

Observe and evaluate children to ensure developmental needs are being met

Create strong home/school bonds with communication.

Ability to work in a team environment



Requirements

Previous experience as a lead teacher or associate teacher preferred

Minimum of 18 ECE credits or Lead/Associate Certification

Strong understanding of child development

Knowledge of NH State Licensing Rules

Excellent organizational skills, communication and time management skills

First aid and cpr

Willing to complete 18 hour of professional development annually

Reliable, patient and kind

About Us

Nellie's Treehouse is a family-owned and operated child care/early learning center located on Route 101A in Amherst, NH. The program opened in 2000, serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years and has a licensed capacity of 69 students. Nellie's provides 5,000 square feet of indoor classroom spaces and sits on an acre of land.

The goal of the school is to ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times and to encourage successful social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth and development throughout the early years. We acknowledge the importance of authentic partnerships with families as they are their child's first teachers. We recognize each child as an individual and utilize developmentally appropriate, play based curriculum to promote independence and foster creativity.

The center is open from 6:00am to 7:00pm and has an open door policy. Infants and Ones are provided diapers, wipes, spring water and whole milk. Twos, Preschool, Pre-k and K are provided breakfast, lunches and 3 snacks.
