This contract position requires 37.5 hours per week and offers the unique opportunity to provide specialized support in an inclusive educational setting, working closely with a diverse and dynamic team.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts DESE Licensure in Moderate or Severe Special Needs is required
- Experience delivering specialized instruction within inclusive, small-group, and one-on-one environments
- Strong background in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs, behavior intervention plans, and individualized student goals
- Familiarity with curriculum accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instructional strategies
- Confidence participating in eligibility, annual review, and re-evaluation Team meetings
- Skills administering standardized testing, completing comprehensive evaluations, and interpreting data for instructional planning
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, support staff, and family members
- Experience supervising and working alongside paraprofessionals and ABA Technicians
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with all federal and state special education guidelines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, specialized instruction to students, addressing individual learning needs
- Design and adapt materials to ensure meaningful access to curriculum content
- Monitor progress with continual assessment and accurate data-recording
- Consult and plan with colleagues to craft inclusive, effective classroom environments
- Prepare thorough reports and documentation related to evaluations, IEPs, and progress monitoring
- Offer ongoing support and supervision for classroom paraprofessionals and ABA staff
- Engage in collaborative problem-solving with families and multidisciplinary teams
