A full-time contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve as a traveling educator. From September 2026 through June 2027, you’ll provide specialized instruction and support to students in a variety of school settings—private, public, and charter. This position offers the chance to collaborate with diverse teams, adapt to new learning environments, and positively influence students’ educational journeys throughout the region.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification (required)
- Previous experience working with students with exceptional needs
- Strong ability to adapt teaching methods to meet a wide range of learning abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Capacity to work flexibly and independently while traveling between locations
- Organizational skills to manage scheduling and varied caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students in multiple schools
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere
- Track student progress, maintain records, and communicate with parents and staff
- Serve as an educational resource for staff and families in various school settings
- Remain informed of best practices and evolving educational strategies in the field
This position offers a dynamic workweek of 35-37.5 hours, Monday through Friday, and provides the unique chance to support students across different campuses.
