Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol assigned premises to deter unauthorized access, theft, and vandalism
- Conduct regular foot patrols of interior and exterior areas of the facility
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches
- Control access points by screening visitors, employees, and vehicles
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies while coordinating with law enforcement as needed
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and security documentation
- Provide excellent customer service and assist the public in a professional manner
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Massachusetts Security Guard License or ability to obtain one
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military is a plus
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and written reporting skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods of time
- Professional demeanor with a calm, authoritative presence
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
