Trust & Estate Associate Attorney

PublishedPublished: 6/14/2022

Job Description

Job Description

We are partnering with an established and growing law firm seeking a Trust & Estates Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its expanding practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney who wants to move beyond a traditional supporting role and take on meaningful client responsibility early in their career. You’ll work directly with high-net-worth clients, handle sophisticated estate planning matters, and have the opportunity to broaden your practice into business and real estate law.

The firm offers a clear path toward leadership and the chance to help shape the future of a dynamic, growing practice group.

What You'll Do

  • Draft a broad range of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and business succession plans
  • Handle probate, guardianship, and other ancillary Trust & Estates matters
  • Advise and work directly with high-net-worth clients
  • Assist with federal estate and gift tax matters
  • Support general business and real estate matters, allowing you to broaden your legal expertise
  • Take ownership of substantive matters and client relationships
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the firm's Trust & Estates practice

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of dedicated Trust & Estates experience
  • Substantive experience drafting a full range of estate planning documents
  • Familiarity with federal estate and gift tax issues
  • Strong client-service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with an established team
  • New Hampshire Bar admission or a clear path to obtaining admission with firm sponsorship
  • Candidates relocating from outside the region should have demonstrated ties to New Hampshire
  • Bar Requirement: New Hampshire Bar admission or clear path to admission

Why This Is a Great Opportunity

  • $115,000–$125,000 base salary
  • Approximately $10,000 average annual bonus
  • 5% origination credit
  • 401(k) with a 50% match on the first 6% of contributions
  • Direct exposure to high-net-worth clients
  • Substantive responsibility rather than simply supporting senior attorneys
  • Opportunity to expand into business and real estate law
  • Clear path toward leadership within a growing practice
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping a growing Trust & Estates practice

This role is particularly compelling for an attorney who has built a strong foundation in Trust & Estates and is ready for greater autonomy, direct client contact, and a long-term path toward leadership. The original role specifically highlights substantive responsibility, high-net-worth client exposure, and significant growth potential within the practice.
