Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring MA state licensure, ACLS certification, and prior travel nursing experience.
Details\n

- Work in the ICU of a hospital environment
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every third weekend required, with a minimum of 4-5 weekends over the assignment
- No call requirements
- No floating requirements
- Preferred experience with Meditech charting system

Requirements\n

- Active MA state RN license required
- AHA certification required, ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Proficiency in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
- Skilled in ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and interpretation of ABGs
- Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG

- Unit orientation includes two 12-hour shifts in the ICU with a preceptor
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
- Holiday coverage expected during the assignment
- Time off requests should be minimized, particularly during the first two weeks of the assignment, and must be approved prior to start
- Floating may occur in rotation with facility staff, in accordance with clinical experience and facility floating policies
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Candidates residing within 30 miles will receive a reduced rate
