BG Staffing is seeking an experienced and reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join a thriving multifamily community in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Position Details
Location: Plymouth, MA 02360
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Position Summary
As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the appearance, functionality, and overall condition of the property. You will be responsible for completing service requests, preparing apartment homes for new residents, assisting with general repairs, and helping to ensure the community remains safe and well-maintained.
The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and possesses strong troubleshooting skills with a commitment to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the property
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for new move-ins, including apartment turns and make-readies
- Troubleshoot and repair common maintenance issues
- Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs
- Maintain common areas, grounds, and community facilities
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs
- Ensure the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property
- Follow company safety procedures and maintenance standards
- Participate in the property's rotating emergency on-call schedule
- Communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and management
Qualifications
✅ Previous apartment maintenance or multifamily maintenance experience preferred
✅ Experience with:
- Apartment turns and make-readies
- General repairs and maintenance
- Property upkeep and preventive maintenance
- Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
- Appliance troubleshooting and repair
- Painting, drywall, and carpentry repairs
✅ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
✅ Excellent customer service and communication skills
✅ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
✅ Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
✅ Ability to lift, carry, and move maintenance materials and equipment as required
✅ Willingness to participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule
Work Attire Requirements
To maintain a professional and safe work environment, maintenance staff must report to work in appropriate workwear, including:
- Steel-Toed Boots (Required)
- Utility/Work Pants (Required)
Candidates should be prepared to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and adhere to all property and safety guidelines.
