A leading global investment firm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Investment Technology team.

This role offers the opportunity to build and scale the platforms, services, and infrastructure that support investment research, portfolio construction, trading workflows, and operational processes across the business. Working within a highly collaborative engineering environment, you'll help deliver innovative solutions that improve how teams access, process, and interact with critical business and market data.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications and backend services.
- Build software solutions supporting both transactional systems and large-scale data processing workloads.
- Develop APIs, shared libraries, and platform capabilities used by engineering and business teams.
- Partner with stakeholders to define technical solutions that address evolving business requirements.
- Drive improvements in reliability, performance, observability, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technology evaluations across the engineering organization.
- Support production systems and participate in troubleshooting and performance optimization activities.
- Promote engineering best practices including testing, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver resilient solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

Required Qualifications
\n

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of experience building enterprise software applications, distributed systems, or cloud-based platforms.
- Financial services, asset management, trading, investment technology, or big tech experience/background
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C#, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or CDK.
- Experience designing and developing service-oriented or API-driven applications.
- Exposure to modern messaging, streaming, or event-driven technologies.
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and software engineering best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
