Step into a dynamic role supporting middle school students by providing intensive, specialized instruction using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. As a full-time paraprofessional, you will help deliver individualized curriculum in a collaborative and fulfilling educational environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to play a crucial part in shaping students’ academic and social growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional preferred, especially within school settings
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn ABA principles and practices
- Comfortable working with middle school-aged children
- Ability to follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching approaches as needed
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and resourceful in supporting diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement intensive, individualized academic and behavioral programs under the guidance of special education teachers and behavior specialists
- Utilize ABA strategies and interventions consistently throughout daily activities
- Support students both inside and outside the classroom, assisting with academic tasks, social interactions, and behavioral goals
- Record and report on student progress, behaviors, and challenges as required
- Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment for all learners
- Collaborate closely with educators and other support staff to ensure cohesive care
