Job DescriptionRespiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Assignment

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment with Hospital in Concord, Massachusetts. This opportunity is suited for a respiratory therapist who can provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services to inpatient and outpatient patients of all ages and is comfortable working night shifts.

The assignment is scheduled for an ASAP start and follows a 12-hour night schedule. The position requires flexibility with scheduling needs and rotating holidays, with no call requirement. Candidates must meet the specified Massachusetts licensure and certification requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services for inpatient and outpatient patients of all ages

  • Perform respiratory care procedures according to departmental and hospital policies

  • Evaluate, treat, and re-assess patients following physician orders

  • Assist physicians and nursing staff with therapeutic modalities

  • Participate in Code Team and Rapid Response Team activities

  • Provide patient and family education

  • Participate in CQI and departmental education activities

  • Transport patients

  • Assist with equipment and stock inventory control

  • Support patient rights to care, privacy, and respect

  • Assist with orientation and training of respiratory and nursing personnel

  • Assist with special projects and other assigned duties

Candidate Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by CAAHEP

  • Previous RT experience strongly preferred

  • Previous patient care experience preferred

  • Current Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license

  • RRT or CRT certification from the NBRC

  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification

  • NRP certification required upon submission

Schedule

The position follows a 12-hour night schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week. There is no call requirement, but candidates should be prepared for rotating holidays and flexibility with scheduling needs.
