Step into a rewarding opportunity as an experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Tech/Paraprofessional with strong behavior support skills in an engaging elementary school setting. This contract position runs from mid-October 2026 through late May 2027, offering a full weekly schedule of 32.5 hours. All work is onsite in a supportive, collaborative environment.
In this role, you will work closely under the supervision of the school’s BCBA, supporting students in their daily routines and helping to implement effective behavior plans. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in behavior/Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) settings within schools. 1:1 experience alone will not meet the requirements—success in behavior-focused classrooms is essential.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RBT certification required and must be provided with your resume
- Previous work in school environments specifically supporting students with behavioral challenges and/or ASD
- For behavior techs or paraprofessionals, experience must include substantial behavior or ASD background—not just 1:1 support
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt and remain patient in dynamic classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior plans alongside the supervising BCBA
- Support elementary-aged students in developing social, emotional, and functional skills
- Accurately collect and record data on student progress and behavior
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
- Maintain consistent and clear communication with teaching staff and administrators
