A contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher with a strong commitment to fostering academic growth and individual success. This position runs from September 1, 2026, through June 17, 2027, and offers a steady, full-time schedule of 35 hours per week across five days. You’ll be actively involved in an inclusion classroom, working with a dynamic team to provide tailored educational support. The specific number of students on your caseload will be determined.
Qualifications:
- Current DESE Special Education Teaching Certification for grades 5-12
- Experience working with high school students, preferably in inclusion settings
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs and IEP requirements
- Dedication to promoting a positive and accessible educational experience
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized and group instructional plans within an inclusion classroom
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to meet students’ needs
- Manage and monitor progress toward IEP goals, keeping accurate and timely records
- Foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment conducive to learning for all students
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as required
