Job Description
We are hiring a Machinist to join a growing aerospace and defense manufacturing facility in Southbridge, MA. This is a great opportunity for someone with machining experience looking to grow their skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Set up and operate CNC machines.
- Perform tool changes, offsets and compensations.
- Read and follow blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications.
- Use measurement tools, tooling and gages to inspect parts.
- Machine parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of machining experience; 3+ years preferred.
- CNC setup and operation experience.
- Experience with tool changes, offsets and compensations.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience using measurement tools and gages.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Experience: Swiss or Mazak machines, lathes, mills, drills, punch presses or deburring machines. Knowledge of GD&T and machine shop mathematics is a plus.
