The role is available for an immediate start, with a focus on supporting students as they transition into the school year beginning September 2.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Required: Certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with children at elementary grade levels (grades 1-3 preferred)
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and behavioral strategies
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with faculty, students, and families
- Ability to implement evidence-based interventions tailored for students with diverse needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and adaptive strategies as part of the Stepping Stones Program
- Modify curriculum and lesson plans to accommodate students' individual needs and IEP goals
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining thorough and compliant records
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to optimize supports
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages student growth and participation
- Contribute to team meetings, parent conferences, and the ongoing development of program resources
