Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as part of a dedicated Special Education team, supporting learners in grades 1-3 through the Stepping Stones Program. This full-time contract opportunity offers a valuable chance to empower students with diverse learning needs and collaborate with educators committed to inclusive education. The role is available for an immediate start, with a focus on supporting students as they transition into the school year beginning September 2.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Required: Certification as a Special Education Teacher
  • Experience working with children at elementary grade levels (grades 1-3 preferred)
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and behavioral strategies
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with faculty, students, and families
  • Ability to implement evidence-based interventions tailored for students with diverse needs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and adaptive strategies as part of the Stepping Stones Program
  • Modify curriculum and lesson plans to accommodate students' individual needs and IEP goals
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining thorough and compliant records
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to optimize supports
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages student growth and participation
  • Contribute to team meetings, parent conferences, and the ongoing development of program resources
