Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Overview\n
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool. This position involves working in a dynamic environment, supporting multiple medical-surgical units, including specialties such as neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, genitourinary, hips and joints, oncology, liver and kidney transplant, and vascular care.
Schedule and Requirements\n
The position requires a commitment to rotating shifts, including 12-hour and 8-hour schedules. Nurses will work every other weekend and observe 12-hour holiday shifts. Shifts may alternate between days and nights, with the possibility of short notice assignments. A reasonable time will be provided between rotations, and requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.
Key Responsibilities\n

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including nebulizers and IV medications.
- Conduct unit-specific procedures such as 12-lead EKGs, blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring.
- Maintain patient safety and safeguard against potential risks associated with patient care.
- Assist with the management of ventilators alongside respiratory therapists.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standard of care.

Qualifications\n

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience is required.
- Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
- Basic familiarity with computers and proficiency in navigating web-based applications is necessary.
- Epic experience is required.
- CPR and ACLS certifications (AHA) are mandatory.
- Experience in a Level I trauma facility is preferred.

Additional Information\n
Travel RNs will be assigned to various medical-surgical units and may receive shift assignments with limited notice. Patient-to-nurse ratios vary, averaging 4:1 during daytime shifts and up to 6:1 during nighttime hours. Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays, excluding holidays. All scrubs are acceptable; however, parking may incur costs.
