Heavy Duty Diesel fleet mechanics are responsible for performing preventative maintenance and general repairs on fleet units to company and DOT standards. Mechanics are the service provider as well as diagnostic technician for our diverse fleet of heavy-duty delivery vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and liquid tank bobtails.
 
Primary Road Service Mechanic responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Diagnose and repair medium to heavy duty trucks and trailers, including but not limited to air and hydraulic brake systems, tires, HVAC, steering and suspension, electrical and Driveline, including engine replacement and overhauls.</li>
<li>Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on equipment.</li>
<li>Repair and test Fuel delivery systems on truck bodies</li>
<li>Diagnose and repair said vehicles and equipment from job “start to finish” within DOT and Fleet management guidelines.</li>
<li>Ability to use or learn to use fleet software to record repairs and parts used.</li>
<li>Assist Drivers with any vehicle issues before and/or after each shift.</li>

Job Details
 The fleet consists of numerous heavy duty trucks, some diesel, and many small engine machines. Our fleet consists of primarily pickup trucks, BOBCATS, lawnmowers etc. Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li> Creating and carrying out a preventive maintenance check-list on all vehicles and machines throughout the week to keep operation status at a high level.</li>
<li> Quickly Responding to engine and electrical issues that come up during the work day and solving said issue in a cost efficient way.</li>
<li> Provide and spread knowledge to field and warehouse workers to prolong life of machines and vehicles.</li>
<li> Promote safety in the work place.</li>
</ul>
 Requirements: 
<ul>
<li> 5 years of experience in auto mechanic/small engine repair.</li>
<li> Ability to lead small team of mechanics</li>
<li> Must have own mechanic tools</li>
</ul>
 Nice to haves: 
<ul>
<li> Fleetio software experience</li>
</ul>
