BASIC PURPOSE:
Provides structural engineering and project management for Operations Division capital and maintenance projects and technical services.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Provides services during construction including review of contractor shop drawings, and responses to contractor questions.</li>
<li>Participates in the preparation of standard specifications.</li>
<li>Participates in field investigations to verify and obtain information on existing facilities, structures, systems and equipment.</li>
<li>Reviews consultants monthly progress reports and invoices.</li>
<li>Supervises and manages junior professional staff, including management of assigning tasks and evaluating performance, as assigned.</li>
<li>Prepares labor, equipment and material quantity takeoffs for cost estimates.</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:

<li>Knowledge of principles and practices of structural engineering as normally attained through a Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field; and</li>

Job DescriptionSenior Structural Engineer (US) (Remote) K2 Management is a dynamic, global, independent and leading consultancy working exclusively within the renewable industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineer who can actively support our Civil Engineering Center of Excellence and contribute to the expansion of the company’s market position through the development of our civil design services and support of ongoing projects. Based in the U.S., this position reports to our Head of Civil Engineering.&nbsp; The primary work will be remote based in the U.S. (preferably Mid-West or East-Coast)., though some support of other global work may be needed from time to time. &nbsp; Areas of responsibility: The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the civil engineering aspects of renewable energy projects, particularly for onshore wind projects, but capabilities and experience in solar projects as well as offshore wind are desired. You will be the subject matter expert for wind turbine foundation design and collection system layout, as well as all civil engineering aspects of the balance of plant portion of renewable energy projects including road design, substation layout, grading, etc.. This role involves defining requirement specifications for foundation and civil balance of plant designs and reviewing those designs, acting in the capacity of Owner's Engineer or providing due diligence services to investors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering and significant experience in wind energy projects. In your role, you will:

<li>Conduct detailed reviews of design documents, reports and calculations and provide technical guidance and recommendations for design improvements and optimizations.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Act as the Owner’s Engineer representing the client’s interests during project development and execution.</li>
<li>Project manage Owner’s Engineer onshore wind scopes, supporting in the development of project schedules, budgets and resource plans.&nbsp; Identifying and address potential issues or risks related to the turbine foundations and civil balance of plant.</li>
<li>Manage the development of wind turbine foundation designs from an Engineer of Record and optimize collection system layouts, meeting project specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Oversee the balance of plant design, including access roads, crane pads, substation grading, layout, foundation and associated infrastructure.</li>
<li>Conduct site visits during project construction to verify appropriate implementation of civil designs, review overall construction quality of work, QA/QC documentation, etc.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory bodies and provide clear and concise technical reports and presentations.</li>

<li>B.S. in Civil Engineering, Masters preferred, combined with 5+ years of professional experience from a similar position within the renewable industry.</li>
<li>Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD. Pro, Plaxis, ArcGIS).</li>
<li>Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ANSI, ACI, ASME, ASTM, IBC).</li>
<li>Experience in engineering consultancy preferred.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Good organizational skills and a structured working approach.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.</li>
<li>Proactive, self-motivated and dedicated to delivering high quality work.&nbsp; Willing to support multiple teams and flexibility to support varying day-to-day business tasks.</li>

We have an immediate opening for an&nbsp;Electrical Wiring Technician&nbsp;to work in our electrical assembly department based in Hopkinton, MA. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm.&nbsp; In this role, you will be responsible for the wiring of electrical harnesses, cable assemblies, electrical panels, and cabinets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Soldering and crimping of small gauge wires</li>
<li>Electrical assembly of cables, wiring harnesses, electrical sub-panels, and cabinets</li>
<li>Electrical testing and troubleshooting defects in electrical assemblies and cables</li>
<li>Report failures and defects via company quality processes</li>
<li>Ability to cooperate with others in a team effort to achieve quality, safety and productivity goals</li>
<li>Ability to work overtime to meet production schedule as needed</li>
<li>Follow 5S and lean manufacturing principles and practices in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment</li>

Skills and Requirements

<li>Can work with wires from ranging from 10 to 36 AWG</li>
<li>Soldering experience is required, J-STD-001 endorsement preferred</li>
