Tobin School Westwood is seeking a warm, nurturing early childhood Teacher&nbsp;to join our Pre Kindergarten classroom teaching team beginning in September. This will be a new classroom with a capacity of up to 20 children a day. This is a 40 hour per week position with 8 hour shifts between 7:15&nbsp;am and 5:45&nbsp;pm. This educator will help support&nbsp;this teaching&nbsp;team in child supervision, curriculum planning, assessment, parent communication, and&nbsp;ensuring adherence to all safety and sanitation protocols. We offer two stand-alone classrooms, PreK and Junior Kindergarten, along with beautiful outside play spaces and an indoor gross motor room.
These classes focus on creating an engaging, enriching, developmentally appropriate curriculum with an introduction to school readiness skills. We utilize the Second Step&nbsp;social emotional curriculum, Wilson&nbsp; Fundations PreK edition for literacy and&nbsp; handwriting,&nbsp;and utilize the Teaching Strategies Gold assessment tool. Teachers are encouraged to be creative in their curriculum planning as we help our students grow!
Requirements:
Successful applicants must have EEC Preschool/PreK Teacher&nbsp;certification, as well as early childhood&nbsp;teaching experience. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is recommended or working towards (in early childhood or related field is preferred).

Physical/Environmental Demands and Conditions&nbsp;The Teacher Assistant must have the capability to engage in the physical activities incident to the job, including without limitation, the capability to:

About This Position We are seeking field teachers to help with field trips and in-school programs at Broad Meadow Brook and Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuaries. Our field trip programs engage students in kindergarten through high school in hikes and nature exploration at our sanctuaries. Our in-school programs offer hands-on engaging activities to classrooms. All of our programs align with state and national science standards and encourage exploration, collaboration, and inquiry. Field teachers help with programs at one or both sites in Mass Audubon’s Central Region.

Responsibilities

<li>Facilitate and lead school program participants in hands-on nature-based learning experiences at Mass Audubon Wildlife sanctuaries and at school and program sites</li>
<li>Maintain educational supplies, curricula, materials, and resources</li>
<li>Assist with the planning and development of new programs and activities as needed</li>
<li>Monitor program participants in all types of indoor and outdoor environments and ensure the safety and comfort of all participants</li>
<li>Become familiar with and teach a variety of environmental educational activities</li>
<li>Engage participants in hands-on learning that develop ecology and conservation knowledge</li>
<li>Assist in setting up before and cleaning up after programs</li>
<li>Travel to various sites throughout Central Massachusetts to facilitate programming</li>

Compensation, Benefits and Perks This position’s pay range is $18.48-$20.79/hour; actual salary will reflect level of experience and qualifications relative to position requirements. This is not a benefits eligible position.
Work Schedule This position starts on September 15, 2025 and ends on June 5, 2026. Variable hours between 0-29 per week, Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. Hours are dependent on programs worked.
Other Requirements Employees must successfully complete a CORI and SORI Background Check and a Motor Vehicle Record (if applicable) is required.
