Job Summary:
The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing all structural engineering efforts for the company, specializing in the design and manufacturing of precast concrete products, primarily for parking structures in the commercial construction sector. This leadership role will manage both in-house design engineers and third-party subcontracted engineering firms to ensure the successful completion of all engineering design activities, including the creation of new structural designs, repair details, and ongoing technical support for sales and production teams.  Position Requirements 
Requirements, Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Must be able to obtain PE license in all New England states, New York, and New Jersey within 1 year of hire. 
3. At least 10 years of structural engineering experience, including experience in a leadership role within the precast concrete industry or commercial construction sector.
4. Expertise in designing precast concrete structures, particularly parking structures.
5. Proven experience in managing teams and coordinating with third-party engineering subcontractors.
6. In-depth knowledge of precast concrete design principles and construction practices.
7. Understanding of cost implications of engineering design decisions and demonstrate ability to systemically reduce operational costs through efficient design
8. Proficiency in drafting, modeling, and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, SAP2000, ETabs, Eriksson software, and Salmons Technologies.
9. Strong project management skills with the capacity to oversee multiple projects at once.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:
<ul>
<li>Developing new or evolving existing ultrasound modes</li>
<li>Owning specific clinical applications (e.g. cardiology), and becoming expert in the clinical needs of that community</li>
<li>Working closely with our clinical team to optimize your application for image quality</li>
<li>Partnering with our HW, SW, Transducer and ASIC teams to advance next generation devices and to innovate advanced processing algorithms</li>
<li>Owning specific parts of our image processing pipeline (e.g. frequency compounding, scan conversion). Implement these processes using Python, C++, or GPU coding</li>
<li>Performing a broad variety of tasks in support of the role and responsibilities.</li>
</ul>

Qualifications
Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:
<ul>
<li>M.S. or PhD in EE, Physics, or related field</li>
<li>Industry or academic experience in diagnostic ultrasound or related field (5+ years)</li>
<li>Fundamental knowledge of basic ultrasound modes: B-mode, Doppler Color Flow Imaging, etc</li>
<li>Understanding of beamforming, diffraction, synthetic aperture fundamentals</li>
<li>Passionate and competent at working closely with the hardware</li>
<li>Strong software skills, especially in C, C++, Cuda, OpenCL, Python</li>
<li>Strong modeling skills using both Python and Matlab</li>
<li>Advanced Mathematical, Signal and Image Processing skills</li>
</ul>

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it's ok if you don't!):
<ul>
<li>Project leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate the activities of colleagues</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of electrical analog and digital circuits</li>
<li>Ability to design and program FPGA's using Verilog</li>
<li>Understanding of human physiology, especially as it relates to ultrasound</li>
<li>Familiarity with different GPU hardware and development environments: example Vulcan)</li>

Compensation 
Our estimated salary for this role is between $150,000 - $170,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.

 Installing, splicing, testing, repairing and maintaining the technology that keeps millions of customers connected.
