The Harvey Quality Assurance Technician III role is responsible for daily checks on key equipment and processes to ensure adherence to documented guidelines. Timely response to problems on the manufacturing floor as well as follow up root cause and corrective actions is critical to positive performance. These problems can vary between process issues with equipment to nonconforming material from vendors ending with detailed and accurate communication of these findings to involved parties.

Qualification Requirements

Education and Experience. This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as a Quality Control Manager.

<li>A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.</li>
<li>One (1) or two (2) years of college or equivalent (e.g. trade school, specialized training)or more of industry related experience is required for this position, with an emphasis on roads, highways, and bridges.</li>
<li>Must maintain the following certifications:</li>
<li>ACI Level 1</li>
<li>CTQP Level I and CTQP Level II</li>
<li>CTQP DOT Concrete Field Inspector Specification</li>
<li>CTQP QC Manager</li>
<li>CTCI ACI Level 2 (or ability to obtain within 1 year)</li>
<li>Nuclear Gauge Safety &amp; Certification</li>
<li>Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.</li>

Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Quality Control Manager to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

<li>Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.</li>
<li>Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 30 pounds and, at times, as much as 50 pounds, as may be assigned.</li>
<li>Physical dexterity involving stretching, proper placement of legs, and use of arms and hands in repetitive motions.</li>
<li>Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.</li>
<li>Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions.</li>

<li>Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.</li>
<li>Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction site.</li>
<li>Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.</li>
<li>Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on a construction site such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and asphalt.</li>

Quality Control Manager

<h3>Job Description</h3>
Essential Tasks: Write new or install appropriate existing programs per engineering drawings and established procedures. Perform rough turning and drilling operations per engineering drawings and as directed by supervision and standard procedures. Set up lathe as required to perform turning and drilling operations. Select proper feeds and speeds for drilling, turning, and tapping different types of material. Color code journals for heat treat, plating and balance following turning operation. Perform finish turning, drilling, and tapping to final dimensions as specified on engineering drawings and standard procedures. Turn fits as designated on fit slips and stamp corresponding serial number on completed journal. Refer to TES Manual for specific details on press fit, weld prep, etc. Transfer any heat number alpha codes to fit slip adjacent to identifying serial number. Identify completed work according to established quality control procedures and move to proper holding area for disposition. Identify incomplete parts and tag with list of operations required. Move incomplete parts to proper holding area for disposition Maintain and record time sheets for each operation performed. Maintain neat and clean working area, including the removal and disposal of machined chips from machine base. Inform supervision of any equipment defects. Wear and maintain proper safety equipment including proper footwear and safety glasses. Assist In Other Areas Of Manufacturing As Required.
