About the Opportunity
As a Class C CNC Lathe Operator, you’ll work under the guidance of senior machinists and supervisors to support the setup, operation, and inspection of CNC turning equipment.
GSM operates a wide range of advanced machinery including Doosan VTLs, Mori SL and CL2000 series lathes, Okuma LB4000 EX II, ProtoTRAK, and DMG Mori platforms.
You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to the production of components vital to national defense programs. Your work will directly support machining operations in accordance with the production schedule (IAW schedule).

Essential Functions

Join the power movement as a Mechanical Engineer As a Mechanical Engineer for the SPARC Toroidal Field (TF) Coil System Structures team, you will be responsible for the design, production support, and assembly of structural components and insulation in our HTS magnet systems. You will work closely with our Production, Assembly, and Procurement teams to ensure components meet requirements and are delivered on-time. Your responsibilities will also include the development design and analysis documentation, technical specifications, and assembly procedures.What you'll do:

<li>Collaborate with internal Quality, Manufacturing, Assembly, Commissioning, and Procurement teams on requirements and documentation</li>

What we’re looking for:

<li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or another relevant field</li>
<li>5+ years of experience designing structural components in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Experience with CAD software (NX preferred) and analysis software (ANSYS Workbench preferred)</li>
