Position Summary:
The CNC Machine Operator I will operate CNC machines on low to medium complexity components using automated and manual equipment and processes to meet customer needs. This is an entry-level position that draws on prior machining experience with technical problem-solving skills to operate a minimum of one type of CNC equipment and possess the ability to perform secondary operations. The CNC Machine Operator I will work both independently and in a team environment with internal team members, leads, supervisors, and quality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Independently load parts and operate a minimum of one type of CNC equipment.</li>
<li>Complete all operational processes, checklists, control plans, and procedures as required.</li>
<li>Correctly identify and assemble cutting tools and tool holder assemblies based on existing process documentation.</li>
<li>Learn and understand the difference between types of tool wear. (See Operator Expectations for more details)</li>
<li>Identify the correct start line in the program.</li>
<li>Gain basic working and functional knowledge of M codes.</li>
<li>Look at parts to ensure they were machined properly. This would include surface finish conditions, missing features, etc.</li>
<li>Basic troubleshooting of the machine (with assistance) if there is an error code and escalate issues to the Lead or Supervisor.</li>
<li>Complete all required inspection measurements as defined on quality control plans using hand tools, gage pins, caliper, micrometer, and Micro-Hite measurement tools. Must properly load and run equator.</li>
<li>Learn to read CMM reports and reports from the equator and adjust parts.</li>
<li>Complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Participate in 5S Workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities.</li>
<li>Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.</li>
<li>May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.</li>
<li>May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.</li>

Education/Experience &amp; Skills:

Working Conditions:

<li>Regularly perform repetitive tasks.</li>
<li>Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.</li>
<li>Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours.</li>
<li>The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, sitting, stooping, squatting, walking, and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds.</li>
<li>Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum of 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.</li>

The Trunk line produces all our Trunk Duct which is used in long stretches in the main part of the heating and air system.&nbsp; The machine uncoils the steel, cuts to size, put the appropriate bends in, and then pushes the goods onto a table to be grouped and banded.&nbsp; This person would run our Trunk machine and be responsible for using the computerized system to program work, keeping an eye on the quality of the product as well as having minimal mechanical abilities to change settings on the machine.&nbsp; Once banded the employee needs to put on two additional clips and locks (slide onto the end) and move to a cart for transport.&nbsp; We require a fast learner and someone who can get up to speed quickly.&nbsp; There is a physical component to move the trunk from the table to the cart, but the weight restrictions should not exceed 50 pounds.&nbsp;

Job DescriptionAbout Us World Insurance Associates is a unique insurance and professional services organization offering top products and services from major providers, combined with attentive service from local agents.&nbsp; We are one of the fastest-growing insurance brokers in the top 20 in the U.S. and we offer you the opportunity to develop your skills in a rapidly expanding organization.&nbsp; We specialize in personal and commercial insurance lines, surety and bonding, employee benefits, financial and retirement services, and human capital management solutions.&nbsp; Position Summary The WORLD Internship Program is a 10-week program aimed to develop a bench of talented professionals who will be able to join us after college graduation.&nbsp;As a Summer Intern, you will gain an understanding of the Insurance Industry and the distribution models for Insurance Products. The program will provide you with a broad understanding of the insurance brokerage cycle from identifying and properly marketing risks, building a service timeline, implementing service requests, and working through a renewal. You will be placed in our Commercial Lines department for the duration of the summer: Primary Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>You will work alongside our team and help drive the timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks:
<ul>
<li>Processing renewal of ID cards and policy change requests</li>
<li>Carrier document attachments and Certificates of Insurance</li>
<li>Shadowing client calls and Client Advisor or Carrier visits</li>
<li>Data management work</li>
<li>Additional tasks that could be beneficial to the intern</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>You will support the development of positive relationships with clients and teammates by providing high levels of advocacy, excellent service, and professional communication.</li>
</ul>
Key components of the program include&nbsp;In addition to the work, you do with your manager daily, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in programs and events over the 10 weeks.&nbsp;&nbsp;

</ul>

<li>Self-paced online program provided by the Council for Insurance Agents and Brokers&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Fun networking, volunteer, and social events&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Developmental workshops&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Must be enrolled in a business program at an accredited university or college and graduating in May 2027&nbsp;or December 2026. (Graduates and students enrolled in Insurance and Risk Management programs strongly preferred) </li>
<li>Must be willing to work onsite, M-F between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (we do not offer remote internships)</li>
<li>Prior customer support experience preferred. </li>
<li>Possess strong organization / administrative and computing skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)</li>
<li>Able to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members. Self-motivated and driven. </li>
<li>Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistance.</li>
<li>The ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information.</li>
<li>Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude.</li>
</ul>
