The Role: 
As the Registrar, deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, you will support exhibitions, outdoor commissions, and the permanent collection at deCordova and occasionally other sites within The Trustees’ network. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of registration procedures for outdoor sculpture and exhibitions. You will also oversee the collections management and care of deCordova’s permanent collection, provide registration oversight and consultation for the Art and the Landscape series (which are original outdoor commissions at other Trustees’ properties), and coordinate with collections curators and archivists for select exhibitions at the Fruitlands Museum. 
This position comes at an exciting moment for deCordova and the broader Art at The Trustees program as we deepen our focus on relationships of art and the natural world and seek to limit our climate impact. We are looking for a Registrar who is passionate about working with artists and museum collections, while also exploring more environmentally sustainable approaches to collections care. As the Registrar, you will also support the ongoing migration of the museum’s collection management system and updating of the museum’s collection management policy. The ideal candidate will have 3 years or more of progressively responsible experience relevant to registration and collection management in an art museum or cultural organization. 
Specifically, you’ll:

Essential Job Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs. • Observe resident attendance, behavior, and degree of involvement during programs. • Encourage resident participation as deemed appropriate. • Transport residents to and from activities as needed. • Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments. • Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information. • Assist in arranging for transportation for outings. • Coordinate activities with other departments and staff. • Assist with implementing and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the activity department. • Perform administrative duties, i.e.. completing necessary forms, reports, etc.
 Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience working with the elderly population preferred Working Conditions Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances. Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, etc. Communicates with the medical staff, nursing service, and other department supervisors. Works beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary. Is subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.). Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the day, as well as to reactions from dust, disinfectants and other air contaminants. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses. May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
