Responsibilities:

<li>Delivers daily activities directly to participants at ADH, in participants’ homes and via telehealth.</li>
<li>Daily travel between sites and visits to participants’ homes. &nbsp;Assists with transportation safety.</li>

<li>Implements appropriate interventions at ADH and participants’ homes.</li>
<li>Develops and writes periodic participant assessments, progress notes, and care plans according to organizational policies. &nbsp;Documentation is completed timely.</li>
<li>Creates and maintains tracking spreadsheets. &nbsp;Compiles information for inclusion in monthly calendars, newsletters, and other reports.</li>
<li>Plans and implements special events such as holiday parties, therapeutic outings, entertainment, and other recreational programs.</li>
<li>Is prepared for and represents the Activities Department at IDT meetings. &nbsp;Communicates daily activity programming in addition to any changes in participants’ plan of care.</li>

Qualifications:

<li>Must have successfully completed an O. T. A. curriculum approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, Inc. with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree.</li>
<li>Maintains current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the Commonwealth of MA</li>
<li>Maintains current CPR Certification</li>
<li>Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with a geriatric population.</li>
<li>Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in program development.</li>

Summary 
The primary purpose of this position is to provide after-school instructional support to the students enrolled in the Work Force Middle School program and to assist in managing the daily operation of the classroom. The Work Force is a comprehensive after-school educational support, college prep, and employment training program that provides holistic support to public housing students from the 6th grade through their senior year in high school and provides coaching for persistence for the duration of participants’ post-secondary degree programs. The mission of the Work Force is to empower adolescents living in Cambridge public housing to create their own pathways to educational success and economic mobility.
This Learning Center Coordinator Middle School is a year-round position, operating during the academic school year from October until early June, and six-weeks during the summer, from July to mid-August. The incumbent will work approximately 16 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. during the school year, and 16 hours per week from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during the summer. This position has no benefits.
All activities must support the Cambridge Housing Authority’s (“CHA” or “Authority”) strategic goals and objectives and produce results that accomplish the goals of the Resident Services Department.
Qualifications
