Essential Functions of this role:
As a customer-focused technical product expert, the Technicians will apply highly developed troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical skills, and sound knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic control systems to install new packaging machinery equipment. Job Duties include but are not limited to:

 Engineering consulting firm is seeking to fill Building Enclosure Inspector career positions at its Canton, MA office location. Position Duties: Successful candidate performs specialized building enclosure services on large-scale buildings: weatherproofing tests and inspection services, along with forensic services, window, curtain wall, storefront, and door testing, FM Global wind uplift test, smoke test and electronic leak detection for roofs. Is responsible for interpreting and recording findings, processing reports, and interfacing with clients, along with other duties as assigned by the Director of Building Enclosure Services. FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Wenzel America is looking for a Field Service Technician to service (install, calibrate and repair) coordinate measuring machines at customer sites in a professional, safe, cost-effective manner.
PRIMARY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Demonstrate strong and efficient troubleshooting skills on CMM’s utilizing mechanical and electronical aptitude.
Provide the highest level of customer service and timely responsiveness to all Wenzel customers.
Timely &amp; Accurate documentation of administrative paperwork &amp; customer related requests.
The ability to work independently in a fast paced and innovative environment.
Travel as necessary to fulfil these duties. Travel is expected to be approximately 80% for this position but could be as much as 100% at peak times. Both domestic and international. Travel is within 450 miles from your home, sometimes required to travel outside of your home territory by plane as required.
Travel duties include driving/flying to and from customer sites, airports and other locations to perform job duties.
Excellent communication and service aptitude is a must.
EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:
Education/Experience – this is helpful but not mandatory at this time if all other requirements are met.
Associate's degree in electronics/robotics either military or vocational is a plus, above average computer skills a PLUS.
Previous experience installing troubleshooting, repairing industrial machines and computer systems a PLUS
Previous CMM installation and troubleshooting experience is a PLUS
Experience troubleshooting Windows OS, and programming such as C, C++, HTML a PLUS
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, maintain calibrate and repair customers gaging equipment, predominately at customer’s site.
Provide operator orientation training on the equipment with training on use, safety as well as basic maintenance.
Maintain/develop positive customer relationships.
Provide recommendations to customers about the repair/replacement of their machine and its components.
Provide customer feedback for sales leads for equipment, software, maintenance contracts, etc.
Submit expense and service reports by date/time required weekly according to company policy.
Provide in-house phone support as needed.
Support in-office work activities such as rebuilding machines and assisting with packaging/shipping as needed.
RELATIONSHIPS
Report directly to Service Manager.
Work closely with internal service personnel and communicate frequently with other service engineers and office staff to facilitate scheduling, billing, and completion of jobs.
Work with customers (typically quality tech or quality manager), Reps, Sales, Software, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering along with shop personal.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE
Overall product knowledge.
Utilization rate.
Customer feedback.
Continuous improvement suggestions to customer’s processes/products.
BACKGROUND AND SKILL
Broad background in a variety of skills is needed; Mechanical, electrical and computer skills.
The ability to be highly adaptable and flexible in dealing with the variety of different control systems and computer systems used in the customer’s facility.
Effectively perform time management with minimal supervision and the ability to communicate well in an outside training environment.
