The Project Estimator will be responsible for:
<ul>
<li>Perform Plan Reviews.</li>
<li>Review RFP – including plans, specifications, sketches, geotechnical reports, design narratives, Addenda, etc.</li>
<li>Attending pre-bid meetings, perform site inspections, verify existing conditions, analyze factors that may affect constructability (location of powerlines, access for deliveries, etc.).</li>
<li>Conduct a page turn to determine scopes of work and required contents of estimate.</li>
<li>Preparing bidders lists – custom tailored for each project, carefully selecting those subcontractors that are most appropriate for each project (and most likely to bid).</li>
<li>Preparing requests for subcontractor quotations and providing analysis of subcontractor quotes.</li>
<li>Following up with subcontractors throughout the bidding period to keep communications open, gauge interest and field RFI’s.</li>
<li>Performing site visits with subcontractors.</li>
<li>Prepare bid tabs – calling attention to portions of the work that subcontractors may or may not have included.</li>
<li>Prepare detailed and accurate Qualifications &amp; Assumptions.</li>
<li>Work with Project Operations in developing a Construction Management Plan.</li>
<li>Work with Project Operations in developing a Project Schedule.</li>
<li>Prepare and review with Project Operations a detailed General Conditions &amp; Project Requirement study (carefully considering – “how will we build this” mentality).</li>
<li>Write Scopes of Work and Prepare Subcontract Agreement.</li>
<li>Taking lead with Estimating, Budgeting and Bidding of projects.</li>
<li>Managing workload to ensure adequate time and resources are earmarked for each respective project.</li>
<li>Plan to achieve the bid deadline and stick to it. Call attention to needs, pressure points, key factors for success and roadblocks that may prohibit successful submission.</li>
<li>Preparing estimates by calculating complete take-off of Scope of Work:</li>
<li>Bulk Quantity Take-offs.</li>
<li>Man-hour Estimates.</li>
<li>Material &amp; Unit Price Estimates.</li>
<li>MEP Systems &amp; Equipment Estimates.</li>
<li>Preparing conceptual estimates from preliminary design documents.</li>
<li>Engaging subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the most accurate pricing is used.</li>
<li>Evaluating active and past projects to create a historical cost database.</li>
<li>Supporting and maintaining Estimating Department historical data files.</li>
<li>Preparing budget comparisons between current and previous estimates.</li>
<li>Maintaining files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current information on unit prices from suppliers.</li>
<li>Providing support for Project Operations, as directed.</li>
<li>Assisting with the final assembly of estimates and pricing to clients.</li>
</ul>
 The Project Estimator will report to the Director of Preconstruction. Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related disciplines is required.</li>
<li>3-6 years of estimating experience in related construction fields (emphasis on hard-bid, design-build, and Pre-Construction services).</li>
<li>Have general knowledge of all aspects of construction (field experience a plus).</li>
<li>Be informed of new energy efficient / sustainable building practices (PassiveHouse Certifications are a plus).</li>
<li>Have high attention to detail and quality control.</li>

As a member of the Regulatory Engineering Team, you will be responsible for ensuring customer applications and hardware developments meet the regulatory standards of industrial, medical, and computer equipment. Successful candidates will have experience in some or all of these fields and will be able to orchestrate test plans, explain requirements to customers in engaging and helpful ways, problem solve non-compliance issues, and excel at collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team. <ul>
<li>Coordinate Product Safety, EMC, and RF testing with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories, such as UL, Intertek, TUV, for requesting quotes, developing test plans, and obtaining Product Safety Certifications.</li>
<li>Experience performing product evaluations and testing to applicable Product Safety Standards for Information Technology Equipment (ITE) and Medical Equipment, such as UL/IEC 62368-1, UL/IEC 61010, UL/IEC 60950-1 and IEC/UL 60601-1.</li>
<li>Prepare samples and conduct Product Safety Testing according to UL/IEC 62368-1, UL/IEC 61010, UL/IEC 60950-1 and IEC/UL 60601-1. </li>
<li>Prepare samples and conduct testing to ITE and Medical EMC emissions and immunity requirements for FCC/IC Part 15, EN 55032/EN 55035, IEC 60601-1, EN 50121.</li>
<li>Provide the design team with guidance on best practices for Product Safety and EMC defensive design at the PCB level and highly skilled in EMC mitigation </li>
<li>Prepare and conduct testing for Shock and Vibration according to MIL-STD-810G, IEC 60068-2-64 and IEC 60068-2-27. </li>
<li>Prepare samples and conduct testing for wireless compliance according to FCC and EU R.E.D. directive and sometimes performing co-located transmitter compliance spot testing.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of Global Market Access to countries such as China, India, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, UK, etc., in addition to the US and Canada</li>
<li>Keep current with frequently changing compliance standards and plan for future compliance strategies. </li>
<li>Create, implement and maintain tools to automate the compliance process and data management tasks. </li>
<li>Work with a cross functional team to meet the customer and OnLogic’s regulatory goals in a timely manner. </li>

Benefits
The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000. We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles and are open to what the final number looks like based on your experience.
